Microchip announces a new three-phase brushless DC motor gate driver

Microchip Technology Inc. (Microchip Technology Inc.) today announced the launch of two integrated power modules, LIN transceiver and sleep mode three-phase brushless DC (BLDC) motor gate driver --MCP8025 and MCP8026 (MCP8025 / 6) . These devices can provide a wide range of Microchip dsPIC Digital Signal Controller (DSC) and PIC microcontroller (MCU) supply; by driving the MOSFET, sense current to prevent short circuit, output over zero dead time and blanking time control, monitoring overpressure / undervoltage, overtemperature and other temperature warning fault state to complement the control algorithm. This combination lets Microchip offers a complete motor control and drive solutions for a variety of automotive and industrial applications. In addition, the new device can withstand 150 degrees Celsius operating temperature as low as 5 μA (typ) sleep current, plus LIN transceiver, making it particularly suitable for automotive design, such as the need to operate under the hood design (pump and HVAC etc.), or the need to reduce flameout state power design. The new devices on-chip LIN transceiver compliant with the LIN Bus 2.1, SAE J2602 and earlier LIN 1.X standards.
